Welcome to The Komfort Zone (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using this website, booking services, or participating in coaching services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Coaching Disclaimer

The services provided through this website are coaching services only and are not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or medical services. Coaching does not involve diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any mental health condition.

Although the owner of The Komfort Zone is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, coaching services are offered in a separate, non-clinical capacity. Coaching is future-focused and designed to support personal growth, self-awareness, and goal development.

Not a Substitute for Therapy or Medical Care

Coaching services are not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or substance use treatment. If you are experiencing acute mental health symptoms, emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a crisis, please seek immediate professional help or contact emergency services.

If it becomes clear that therapy or a higher level of care is needed, we reserve the right to pause or terminate coaching services and provide appropriate referrals.

Eligibility for Coaching Services

By engaging in coaching services, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old

• You are mentally and emotionally able to participate in coaching

• You understand coaching is not therapy

• You agree to take full responsibility for your decisions, actions, and outcomes

Client Responsibility

Coaching is a collaborative process. You understand that:

• You are responsible for your own choices, actions, and results

• Coaching does not guarantee specific outcomes

• Progress depends on your participation, commitment, and follow-through

 Confidentiality

While coaching is not governed by HIPAA, your privacy is respected. Information shared during coaching sessions will be kept confidential except when disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, abuse reporting).

Please note: Electronic communication (email, video platforms) carries inherent risks, and absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

 Payment, Cancellations, and Refunds

• Payment is required prior to sessions or programs unless otherwise stated

• Missed or late-canceled sessions may not be refunded

• Coaching packages are non-refundable once services begin

Specific policies will be outlined at the time of booking or enrollment.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, worksheets, programs, and materials — is the intellectual property of The Komfort Zone and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

The Komfort Zone is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of coaching services or this website. You agree to hold harmless The Komfort Zone from any claims arising from your participation.

Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate coaching services if:

• Coaching is no longer appropriate

• Boundaries are violated

• Services are misused or misrepresented

In such cases, referrals may be provided when appropriate.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which The Komfort Zone operates.
